🌟 Just Show Up – My New Life Mantra! 🌟
This year, I decided to get back into the long distance running game and signed up for the Satara Half Marathon. But let’s be honest—I wasn’t sure if I’d even make it to the starting line. I tried practicing, but life had other plans (like convincing me the couch was my best friend). 🛋️
Finally, I thought, “What the heck, I’ll just show up! Worst case, I’ll walk the whole thing and collect some cool pics along the way.” And walk I did—most of the uphill! For the first time, I actually enjoyed the run without the usual ‘race against time’ stress. I soaked in the Karvi blooms, waterfalls, chatted with fellow runners, and took enough pictures to make it look like I was in a nature documentary. 📸
But then, something magical happened going downhill. Maybe it was the wind, gravity, or just my muscles deciding to wake up, but I found myself gliding down with surprising intensity. I crossed the finish line grinning like a Cheshire cat, injury-free and feeling like a champ. 🏅
No record-breaking personal best here, unless you count my new personal record for most scenic selfies taken during a marathon. It was all about reconnecting with the joy of running and realizing that sometimes, just showing up is half the battle. The rest? Well, it kinda just falls into place! 🌸🏃‍♂️✨
